Here's a shot of my 1996 KB1, can a brother get a number? (edit for best guess at year model, I'll forget about the number request)

    Best SansAmp or like product?

I have to second this. The M80 is the last pedal in my chain. DI out, as well as a second "parallel out". The color you can add with this pedal is amazing.

610's and 810's. Who has them and REALLY needs them?

I had an SVT410HLN, which I was able to parlay into a SVT610 Classic, then traded that for an SVT810 Classic. I play in a proggy-doom project, also play in a regularly gigging classic metal cover band, and an all-original classic-rock vibe band. The SVT810 suits them all rather well. BTW, I...

What is the dumbest thing you have done with your Bass?

In the late 80's I put my bands logo sticker on it, upside down, on the back. I also made a "Mistress of Pain" decal and placed it on the headstock. I took all that crap off, learning that fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life.

What's the SMALLEST "crowd" you ever played to?

Last minute invite to play a bar, as the scheduled band cancelled. Before our last set, we had about a dozen or so people still in the bar (mostly foot traffic from the collection of bars and clubs in the area), by the end of our set, there were three people in the bar (the bartender...

Morley Pro Series II vs. Morley PBA 2 Dual Bass wah

I don't know about the differences of the two pedals you are mentioning, but as I have the PBA-2 in my bag of tricks, I do notice the delay in toggling the wah effect also. Mine is spring-loaded, so I compensate by stepping off/away shortly before i expect it to stop (about 1-2 seconds). I...

Let's see the best homemade pedalboard! Post em'

That's really fantastic work! Nicely done sir. I was thinking about posting my homebuilt "no-cost" pedalboard from gear I already have (using an ATA 6U rack lid), but now I am rethinking all of it.

Babicz Full Contact Hardware Bridge review

This has been covered extensively. I have both, they are entirely different animals. Think I like the Babicz better for some things, and the Badass II for others. YMMV http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f18/badass-vs-babicz-bridges-715706/

Babicz Full Contact Hardware Bridge review

Well, I have both an engineering degree and a Babicz on a Fender Jazz. I can hear a significant difference in how my instrument sounds, both with, and without a Babicz. I've been playing stringed instruments for over almost 40 years and bass primarily for about 25, I'm pretty attuned to my...

    Any regrets in going high-mass?

Not one single regret. I've had BA's on previous basses, as well as currently on another bass, and I recently installed a Babicz FCH on a MIM Jazz, the difference in sound is amazing. Yes, sustain for days, I get the biggest grins from the guys at band practice when I play that one, the ring...

All in one pedal board/rack mount unit?

I'm using a Line 6 Bass Pod XT Pro (occupies 2 rack spaces), am able to dial in whatever I want, or choose from a plethora of onboard cab and head models. Using a FBV Shortboard to control remotely, works like a champ.

Babicz Full Contact Hardware Bridge review

Just for grins, here's my 98-99 MIM, with a Babicz FCH, and my 03-04 Geddy Lee, with a Badass II: (Sorry about the fixture feet in the uppper corner, didn't realize my son's tilt-a-whirl would be "that guy", and I'm too exhausted to reshoot and reupload to flikcr anyway...) Cheers!

Babicz Full Contact Hardware Bridge review

I have a Babicz FCH which I recently installed on a 98/99 MIM Jazz bass. The sound difference between the stock bridge and the Babicz completely blew me away. It took me a few live practices to tweak it the way I wanted, but have not experienced any negative issues whatsoever with the FCH. I'm a...

The Fender Jazz Bass Club pt 4

Have been primarily playing the bass since the mid 80's, got my very first Fender Jazz (MIM) just this past weekend. I immediately traded out the stock bridge for a Babicz FCH, and took it to band practice a couple days ago, lost my ever-lovin' mind - I was completely blown away by the tone...

    Babicz Bridge

I just bought my first Fender product - ever (98-99 MIM Jazz Bass). I loved the tone of Fenders, but was always more of an ergodynamic kind of guy. I always thought the lynch-pin/achilles heel of high-density bridges were the allen set-screws on the saddle. The night I purchased the bass, I...

    Eden 4x10XLT vs. SWR Workingman's 4x10(t)

Hey there, No, I didn't go with the Eden, the guy who posted the ad on craigslist never responded to my inquiry, and I was in a pinch for a cab, so I happened to find an Ampeg BSE 410 (the mating cab in the Ampeg B series), which is only 200W @ 8 ohms. If you can find a 410 running at 4...

    Bass Player Mag. Worth it?

Now this mag has some meat to it. I don't see it at the newsstands very often, but I grab them when I do. Pricey, but is far superior to BPM (literally twice the content). Those silly Brits take their mag seriously. :hyper:

    Wimpy A** Bandmates

Played an outdoor/backyard party in 1989, it was about 30 degrees (farenheit) that night. It sucked: state police, DPS, and sheriff's office all came out (uninvited). Opening band made it thru their set, but the fuzz shut us down about half way thru our set. We didn't wuss out. On a completely...
