    Peavey 1810 issues....

Replaced the cap last Friday and buttoned this up...Cabinet back to working as it's supposed to...Now to decide whether to sell it or keep it...Would really rather find another old Peavey 410B to match the one I already have..Either I'm getting older, or that 1810 is getting heavier...;)

    Peavey 1810 issues....

New cap arrived Monday, been getting my butt seriously kicked by a wicked flue bug, so getting the repair done is kinda down on the priority list right now...Should be done by the weekend though and I'll update again...

    Peavey 1810 issues....

That's about twice as long as what's in there now, and alot higher voltage (100V)...Length of the body of it is longer than the spacing of the holes in the board for the wires...

    Peavey 1810 issues....

Ok, did that and yep, tens working with a jumper in place...I did a google search for another cap identical to that one and came up empty...What would be a compatible substitute that's available now??..

    Peavey 1810 issues....

Haven't been on here in a few years, but trying to fix an issue with my 1810...Using bi-amp inputs I can get sound from the 18, or the 10's, but when plugged into either full range input, only the 18 is working...Replaced both bi-amp jacks with brand new jacks of the correct part #...Also I've...

    The OFFICIAL (kinda) HONDO THREAD!!

Been a few years since I rebuilt that bass, but from what I remember, it was a perfect fit...Don't think the holes were drilled for the screws, so the hardest part was keeping the neck straight with the body to mark for the screw holes...Otherwise a perfect fit...

Yeah the early models had an issue like that, but Honda fixed it pretty quickly...They didn't however, do anything to make the engine a bit more attractive, and look less like an air compressor or pots and pans...Thus the short lifespan of that model..

Love them old CX500's..Was a red one on CL about a month ago that looked brand new...Was trying to talk the better half into letting me buy it, but she thought it was ugly...:eyebrow: :scowl:

Been awhile since I posted anything on this site, but a couple weeks ago I decided to tear into my old '73 CB350 that I learned to ride on back in the late 1970's (yes the same actual bike)...Here's how it looked back then, a bit of a frankenstein bike with a CL tank and seat...We had a CB350...

Let's see.... Popping wheelies on a public street, let alone between cars in traffic is ********...And I've never been any good at wheelies either...Even on my bicyle as a kid... As far as the tire issue...I've been riding since I was 14, had my first streetbike at 15, and I'm pretty...

Certifications mean absolutely nada...My dad was a professional mechanic his entire life, and had to be "certified" only because his employers (new car dealerships) required it..Being certified doesn't mean that a person knows what they're doing really..Not saying you don't know what you're...

On a cruiser or touring style bike, damn straight it does...Now on a sportbike, no friggin' way....Sportbikes have a far better lean angle and a car tire won't work for crap...But to lean a cruiser bike over far ebnopugh to get on the sidewall, it would mean I've already crashed and being on the...

Yup, rolling Darkside since July of last year...Yokohama Avid Touring S, 205/70-15.... Nope...The Yoko has more rounded transition from sidewall to tread area than some other tires....Rides better than a motorcycle tire, grips just as good in the turns, and ALOT better in the rain...

Hmmm....Never realized how close it is to LPB until your post.... Color is actually called "electric blue" and is incredibly bright in the sunshine, but mellows a bit in shade/darkness....Have several coats of clear, with gold micro-flake in the first three coats of clear...Impossible to pick...

Just got back home Saturday from a 10-day trip on the bike...The better half and myself covered 2619 miles, and visited 8 states...Rode the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherohala Skyway, Tail of the Dragon, Diamondback 226A in NC, and a planned ride with a VTX forum I belong to...The bike (2007 VTX...

Which would you take? Keep the MB115 or go TNT 150

+1...My brother has a TNT and it's a great little amp...But when I was jamming along with him (drummer), I kept thinking how it would be buried if there was a guitarist in the room with us... I bought a peavey Mark III 300 CHS series and a Peavey 410 cab about 20 years ago, and that thing is...

Back in 1990/1991 (can't remember exactly), I picked up a Peavey Mark III (300 CHS) 150 watt head, along with a Peavey 410B cabinet...Been a great rig, and still use it...Then about 10 years ago I found a Peavey 1810 cabinet (for some reason I thought it was an 1820, but just checked it out a...

    Kingston bass?

Had one of those when I was 14, and was my first bass.....Gave $20 for it and I think I paid $50 too much...Wouldn't stay in tune for crap, and tone was awful... That all being said, I looked on ebay recently for one (just because) and found one that some guy is trying to get $499.00 for...
