imo short answer: yes! its so much harder to put expression in your notes when its a hard thing hitting it. i have picking as just a small part of my playing styles, but with fingers its so much easier to access a wide range of sounds and feelings, its crucial... so much for short answer but...

there aint nothing as versatile as a 44-02! i love it to death. huge range of pickup blending possibilities, not to mention the extensive 3 way pre. dont forget active/passive!

cosmetic accuracy, IMHO, is drastically less important than tonal accuracy. if i was the owner of said SX, i would focus on mods that affect the sound the thing makes. after all, thats what we're here for right?
