Depending on the profs I guess, but if you let them know ahead, find out what you'll be missing, and get your assignments ahead and/or do makeup work it could work out. Just make sure everything works beforehand.

If you like the music and can afford to take the time off, I would say go for it. I find it hard to imagine regretting that sort of experience. A passport is a good idea to have anyway.
