A perfect instrument to play, really easy with an excellent rebound, sound level you take the mustang and the hofner, you mix the two and you arrive at the wilcock. The neck is just perfect, I love it.

Mine have the same noise hum issue when I'm not touching the strings. I'm going to try copper in cavity and under pickguard. I'm in contact with Carey too about changing one pickup. With Nylon strings is not possible to go in studio... This bass is really killer but I have to fix this problem.

Do you also have a mass noise when you do not touch the strings in the parallel microphone position? I wonder if this is an isolated case on my bass.

Do you know what set of flat wound strings plays well on this bass with a medium tension and good sound ? I play TI flats on my 68 PB , but I think tension is too low for a short scale like the cat. Thanks

Thank you for this answer, I have the impression that the preMix IRs sound less fat than the others with cab + Di or cab + Amp + DI. This is especially for live use in my case with two lines, one with my noble DI and the other with the noble's amp output which goes into the darkglass to simulate...

I owned the Dr Bonkers Aguilar DB 810 , to load my Darkglass element , but there is really lot of choice in the folders . I'm really lost ..... Witch files do you using ?

The element is really excellent with headphones for recording , practicing or live monitoring. No interest to cabsim off , the sound is really poor VS cabsim on .
