I thought of that. But my point was not them as a pickup maker, that was only a part of what I was trying to convey. I was meaning this more for a company in general. Their basses are amazing, as are the pickups. My point is that they are an amazing company.

This is a great thread. Although this answer is a bit esoteric, I think that there are basses that fit the player. I know strings pups and setup, along with woods and finishes help, the ultimate tone comes from the player. I guess I wouldn't stress too much if you aren't finding "the" tone from...
