I'd say to give the Berg NV610 a good hard look. It's lighter, with good wheels, and well placed handles. Still a big 6x10, but pretty easy to deal with. Some say it sounds better, but that's not the main I reason like it. Not very cheap, though. It's kind of shallow, but I like the way a nice...

I think the guitar, while kind of "dark" sounding, isn't really muddy in a bad way. For what you're playing there (contrasting lines, kinda sparse), it works really well for a heavy stoner rock sound!

Weight on the T-40 has never bothered me, for some reason. I don't play epic 3-4 hr sets live, but we do practice for 3.5 to 4 hrs and once I start playing I don't notice it. I will also mirror the sentiment re: electronics. The t-40 isn't especially unreliable in this regard, but it does...

Does the staggering in an NV610 mean it behaves like two stacks of 3x10, instead of 3 stacks of 2x10? So, will the NV610 have better horizontal dispersion than another 6x10 without the staggering? I'm assuming it also has to do with reducing the width of the cabinet...

FWIW, I bet I could get a pretty similar sound on my Sansamp RBI. I think a lot of it is the attack he's using more than the amp itself, so any amp that gives you a little bit of grit should get you there. Or a sansamp in front of just about any amp.

I've been really geeking out about the bass tone on Street Hassle. Really curious what it is. I can take a guess at Jazz Bass into a cranked SVT (really playing the odds on that one...). Any other ideas or insights?

In my opinion, people make too big of a deal out of the weight issue. I'm a small guy, with a cheap strap, and it the weight never really bothered me through 3 hour practices. Play one, and if you like how it sounds and plays, get it. Don't worry too much about the weight.

I've had a few sound guys who refused to run just mic'd. In that case, you'll be glad to have your own DI that you're happy with.

I'd like to request that, for the next batch of user videos, someone try hasbeen's suggestions for the overdrive tone. I was also turned off by it, but would very much like to be convinced otherwise :)

The B112 is lighter, at least. Fewer components, and it's made out of plastic. Same box dimensions, though.

So... those of us with low efficiency cabs can call it a "feature" when used with the streamliner? :)

Hmm, all very interesting points. The SWR 8x8 looks pretty tempting... I very well may try to purchase it. I'm going to do some more research into the ampeg 4x8 I've been enjoying so much, to try narrowing down specifically what it is I like, maybe 8" isn't necessary for what I want. Thanks so...
