    OK, but i think the woods and the neck feeling make the differences. for example, if you have an American Standard Jazz bass and a Jazz made in mexico, and you put the USA Fender pickups to the mexico's Jazz, the last will not sound like an original made in USA...similar ok, but NOT same...

    G&L versus Fender questions

    Because the Fender is the "history" of Electric Basses..and have a "Name". Most musiciants are traditionals, and prefers Fender basses, like a Jazz and Precision, that have made the story of the music in 50 years.. But, for me, g&L made bests instruments than a Fender!!

    Yes, Olympic White is the color.... The Model is "Precision Special". There was made also in Blue, Red, Black with rosewood fretboard and in Walnut Wood...the last three models are more rare than the Red and Blue models. the production started in 1980 an continued to 1983

    yes of course , it have a matching headstock (Olympic White finish) (in Italy i have ever seen a Blue and Red finish, but none in OlympicWhite finish like mine (and i know there's also a Black finish with a Rosewood neck)

    thanks, but the bass is made in 1986. are you sure there was alder bodies in the production of 80'?
