This is a great idea. While I've had this downtime I've been building the components for a home studio. This might be a great compromise of letting her feel included in my music while accommodating her commitment level. Sweet! :)

For the audition, I would focus on the music. When you get there, I'd get the whole "look" thing out of the way from the beginning. Ask them what they want, tell them what you're willing to do, and either you're a match or you aren't. Then you can let your music do the talking for you.
