yep, played it in guitar center and then ordered it from musiciansfriend. plays fast and smooth and sounds good unplugged, both the one i played at GC and the one i bought from MF. it's just plugged in, that stupid E string is giving me issues. i'm gonna set it up here in the next week or so...

definitely not the strings. i changed out the stock strings immediately, just put on a pretty standard set of d'addario xl strings. 45-105 probably the pick ups. i have yet to set it up. i've just played it at a few practice sessions.

i use a boss od-2. i keep the drive and tone down while pushing the volume on it and it simulates a pushed amp tone. i really like it.

i'll try all of that. i hadn't thought to test the pedals. i just tried the input jack on my thunderbird and, in a moment of overreaction, immediately blamed my amp when that wasn't the problem. ha.

I've got the ampeg 350h. If I'm running no fx, reverb, delay, or reverb with delay it cuts out occasionally. Doesn't cut out if I'm running overdrive though. Anyone have ideas on how to solve this or what the issue may be?
