Thats good the DJs are getting competition from bands. I will do the full time job and play for fun however many times a month and play for the enjoyment of it. The same reason I got into playing bass when I was younger,, it was fun.

Hell four years is a pretty good run. If its not fun anymore it is time to roll out.

It does not hurt the pot at all. If so my parents and family would have been sick because I boiled them all the time when I was young and could not afford new strings. Its a good question because you do what you gotta do at times.

Thats a good idea of what you are looking for. CL ads can be sketchy at times. Many of the people there ask if I know this and that musician which gets old real fast.

I am a bass player. My kid was in the High School Marching Band they could not get this to work very well. When he played with the Ravens Marching Band they had their own bass player and drums and it worked always. If you contact them someone down there will let you know how they get the best sound.

I switched from a 5 string to Precision 4 string and I love it. I am not the expert on technical terms but i been playing 35 plus years and go for whatever is comfortable.

I am in WV also and there are not enough bass players. I have had offers just to show up to play and bring nothing but myself because they supply it all. Where in WV are you if I can ask??

On an old Sears bass I learned the dumb song that plays to Donkey Kong because it is annoying.
