Ok bear with me, I have a Spector Euro LT with passive Aguilar pups through a Darkglass pre. I recently swapped the Aguilar for EMG active pups. My tech said he can’t wire the EMG through the pre because of a power issue off the battery. why does my Euro LX run with the same active EMGs...

i think I’m officially an EMG guy myself. I wanted to give the Aguilar a whirl but the EMGs in my Euro LX make my LT sound wimpy lol

that is super helpful! I haven’t had much experience with Aguilar pickups. They do kinda remind me of my hand wound 59s. I think I may need to swap for EMG

I believe that is the Euro 4 LT. I am looking to buy one in the future and wanted the LT to have as backup for my Euro LX. I think the difference is more in the preamp. If I’m not mistaken it’s a DarkGlass pre where the LX is a TonePump

no, just the middle four. The other four with the 1/4

So they all seem to be the same speakers by SWR. Is that weird?

Update! So I took it to my practice spot and ran it through my Ampeg B4. I ran a line to the Speakon and a line to 1/4 inch. Book! All speakers working. I didn’t blast it just in case they couldn’t handle it

this was my initial thinking. Essentially it’s two 4x10s. Would running them into the Speakon do anything?

I paid what they go for used. $350 -

Ah! That’s what I was starting to think - two 4x10. So just check the connections on each and maybe resolder if necessary? I really appreciate your help on this! It’s out my mind at ease

looking at the manual online it says they are parallel. I also have never performed a rewiring job. Thanks for a quick response

Hi all! Just got an SWR 8x10. Sounds beastly but I noticed that the middle 4 speakers aren’t putting anything out. Top and bottom 2 are for sure. Any thoughts on this? It sounds great but I’m sure the other 4 will make it crush.
