    Sire Bass Club!

My comparison bass that was and is my standard was and is my original 1959 Fender Precision. I should never have sold it! The D5 isn’t it’s equal but comes pretty damn close!

    Sire Bass Club!

I have had a D5 for years over several months now. As well as looking good it sounds great! Can’t praise it enough. Quiet wait splits coil pickup that looks like a single coil. Achieves the pbass sound could be a little more forward in the low frequencies but I’m not complaining!

    Sire Bass Club!

Crazy thoughts! I have 3 Sire basses already…a 4 sting M2 and a brand new D5 in vintage white, and a 5 string V3 but I keep looking at the 4 string P5 in Dakota Red. Talk me out of it or into my 4th sire!

Would you buy one of these ????

    Sire Bass Club!

I cut my teeth on a 1958 fender Pbass and yes both the P5 and D5 will deliver an Authentic Pbass tone…slightly different to the placement of the pickups. I like the older vibe from the D5 but I don’t find anything lacking In it’s tone

    NBD:Sire V3

I have had the 5 string version for over a year now. Also in basic black like yours. Can’t rave enough about it and the Sire line in general. Up to three right now. But feeling I need a P5 to complement my D5 and a fretless model ;-)

    Sire Bass Club!

The Sire preamp is the special sauce to an already good bass. It’s there when you want it but in the background waiting when you don’t. The tone shaping abilities are great even at the lower end models. Update…still loving my D5!

    Sire Bass Club!

Interesting. I’m based in the US and only have V3 among my small sire stable. I can honestly say I have never experienced any hum from the pickups or preamp.

    Sire D5

Mine is ok. I did order from Thomann Germany at the end of March to get mine. Based on the few recent samples I have read about here I say the problems reported by LEL have been corrected. The problem right now is availability in the US.

Ever play at a clothing optional resort?

Played a couple of gigs for a swingers organization before. Once at their clubhouse. We where allowed free run of the place except for the top floor :-). Interesting having several good looking nearly nude ladies dancing in front of you

    NBD Sire D5!

First impressions First Thomann is very fast in shipping to the US! Loving the roasted maple neck. Very smooth and not a sharp fret anywhere. The black pick guard against the vintage white body is a good contrast and the paint work is flawless. All I had to do when I removed it from the box was...

    First Markbass Head

Love the sound from my 121p. Played everything from vintage Pbasses to G&Ls to fretless Jazz basses thru it and all sounded great! With a single 12inch extension cab plenty loud enough for small/medium clubs.

    Peavey 'Mark' series amps

Had a Mark IV back in the day (1978). Used to bi-amp with the highs running thru a Peavy power amp into a cab with two 12inch Cerwin Vegas. Lows went into an 18 inch Black Widow Peavey cab. Lasted for a good 20 years.

    Sire Bass Club!

Two Sire basses so far. First a M2 purchased two years ago from Amazon of all places. Only flaw was I needed to remove and reset the upper control of the stacked control knobs so they would rotate freely. Didnt have to spend a cent or return the bass. A V3 5 string model purchase a year ago...

    Sire Bass Club!

I would want to see a breakdown across All Sire models by reported owner issues compared to reported issues on other basses in the Sire price points. That is really the only way to compare Sire QC vs the industry unless some here works for Sire and has the internal numbers from Sire QC In full...

    Becoming a good bassist?

No just go to the crossroads and wait until until a big black car pulls up and tubes your guitar or bass. But it has to be midnight not high noon
