10 gigs of ram.

I think it should be a government responsibility to grant every man at least 10 GB's of RAM. We'd be a happier nation, or, a happier world! Have you ever heard Talibans in Afghanistan rocking 10 GB's? Nope, it's pretty obvious to me that a man who has 10, doesn't care to don an AK ;)

So yeah, why not, RAM is nice. I only have 4 gigs.. :(

For those of you contemplating a RAM upgrade on your PC (as opposed to an Apple), remember that you'll need a 64-bit OS for the system to recognize all of it. The system I'm on right now has four gigs of DDR2, but the OS (XP Pro 32-bit, SP3) only recognizes 3.25 gigs.

Having said that, I'm not positive if/what Windoze 7 will do, but I'm rather sure it'll be similar.

All 32 bit PC OS' only support 3.25 gigs of memory.
Including win 7 32 bit.

And most programs are written for 32bit kernels and will only use that much ram so for the most part over 4gb is over kill in most standard user situations.
