Yes indeed, I believe I got the 2nd to last one, and you indirectly influenced me to buy it ;). I think you either PMed me or posted to some thread about having played one and liked it. At the time I was debating on having one built like the OP, but having a hard time sourcing a bridge! When I linked up with Kevin B. I told him something to the effect "if it's good enough for Jauqo, it's got to be good enough for me". He laughed and said he'd met you several times and you were a cool cat ;)

Yes the Godlyke Deity 10 is probably one of the best 10 string basses ever made as far as overall qaulity and sound goes. The craftsmanship is of the best.


Yes Kevin is kool as well. They were really trying to get the 10 string out there but it just didn't happen.

Maybe there wll be a second round as some point.

What color did you get?

I saw one on ebay a few months ago.

Nut width: 48.5 mm
Neck base: 79 mm

The major string to string spacing is 18 mm. That's both for the regular and octave strings. The spacing between the pairs is 4 mm. All these measurements are from the bridge.

You can find more info and pic on my site. I haven't gotten around to putting up the full review and sound clips, but I will at some point...

thanks for the info! i went on godlykes website this morning and found the specs on this bass. there is one thing though, can you measure the length of the headstock from nut to end of the headstock? i wanna compare that to what i drew up this morning.

i put in my order for the wood i need for this bass yesterday. i'm going with almost all walnut. it'll end up being a 3 piece walnut neck-thru with a 2 piece walnut body. the fingerboard will be purpleheart. i think this will look really good when it's done. i'm either gonna do a 35" or 36" scale length. it'll be fretless too. probably going to have a single EMG HZ soapbar at the bridge. pretty much exactly like the other 2 basses i have built.

Yeah, it was between the blue one and a beautiful golden burst, similar to the one Ed used in the review. I recall at the time Kevin saying he may keep which ever one I didn't take since it was likely the last batch. I'd always wanted a translucent blue bass, so it was a no brainer for me.

Be careful with how long you make the length of the headstock in relation to the scale length.

My 15 string Prat is 32" scale and I'm glad because if it was any longer it would be a little harder for me to reach the headstock when I tune it.

The other thing about a shorter scale is that if you want less tension on the octave strings, a shorter scale with ease a lot of the tension.

yes, fretless. i gave up on frets a few years back. the sound i have in my head as what this will sound like should be really awesome.

enjoy the outside, i'm on my way to an outdoor party soon myself.

i didnt think of the overall length and not being able to reach the tuners. i do wear my basses quite high, and this would be a factor.

is your 15 strung with a B or high C?
