10 String Bass/next bass build idea

Has anyone here attempted to build a 10 string bass? 10 string as a 5 string with octaves.

Yesterday I watched a video of P-Nut from 311 playing a Warwick 10 and I was amazed at the sound of that thing. Absolutely amazing.

So, if anyone here has any info they can pass on, pics, schematics, measurements, anything, I'd would really appreciate it.

I need nut width, string spacing and the nut and bridge. and where to get strings. I think i can get the headstock size measured correctly, so that wouldn't be a problem.

i'm not talking about one of those foot wide fingerboard, 10 individual string type basses. this is the same concept as a 12 string guitar, you have your main strings and they are doubled 1 octave up.

Lots of resources out there. I was considering commissioning a 10 or 12 octave coursed for a future bass.

I'm sure you can get all the strings you need from SIT strings. I'll try to remember to post a couple measurements tonight.

The bass is a Starfire from China. From what I can tell, it was only made or offered for 1 or 2 years. Mine is a 2006. The strings, I have never replaced. They are original except 1 octive string. What I do know is that the "Bass" strings are .45 - .130 and the octive strings for D and G are .020.. I don't know what the others are. Here is a closer look at the headstock.
