Wow. The 210 is smaller?

I still think the AE210's are a minor miracle of modern science. Only 12in deep. Warm sounding and will take anything I've thrown at it. And again, in a number of ways reminiscent of the Baer ML112 with the warm upper end, though the Baer still goes lower and louder. But not by too much.

I know we're talking volume for the most part, but one of the things I like about both boxes are their ability sound great at low volume or being pushed hard.

+1 And, the 'final' version (the vertical configured one) is actually more even up top... very smooth, due to a revised crossover.

The original horizontal version (that most are familiar with, since they were in production for a much longer period than the revised vertical version) sounds quite similar to the Baer ML112, which is why I recommend that cab for those who are looking for a 'Berg AE tone'. Quite similar.

The revised version of the AE210 is my favorite small cab of all time. It doesn't do the absolute low end of my Thunderchild 112, but it just punches in a mix, is VERY small, looks GREAT on stage, and as you say, takes everything I can give it. Amazing little box if you can find one, and IMO the best 210 ever produced (of course, assuming you dig articulation, punch and clarity over a huge low end)

I've always loved the size of 12" cabs but could never find the right tone with them, even trying the boutique Bergantinos and Epifanis. I got the newer Genz Benz NEOX 112 and I absolutely love it! It is very warm sounding to my ears and with a P-Bass can even sound like a 15" without any mud.

It is indeed. I have a video of that cab being driven with s GBE1200 on my youtube channel. It kicked

I never hear any love for the Mesa Powerhouse 112.

Agreed that they don't get the same amount of love as their higher-profile cousins. I suspect they must really be under-rated.

Here's a post from a couple of years ago that I always found interesting:

Mesa Powerhouse 1x12s rock!

If I were in the market for a pair of hard rockin' 1x12s, these are the ones I'd get.

One thing to think about with the Mesa cabs right now is that they're kind of in flux. A while back, they switched to ceramic speakers when the price of neo rose, thus making their already-heavy cabs even heavier--and yet they didn't change the weight specs on their site for a while.:hmm: (Now the weights are listed as "TBA".) On top of that, they're now coming out with the "traditional Powerhouse" cabs, which feature a bit of a different design.

I'm sure their cabs are still high-quality, I'd just be wondering exactly what I was getting at this time.

I recently picked up an HD112 from another TB'er to go along with my AE212. VERY satisfied with that little cab. It is stout. Between the two cabs and my Shuttle 9 and Shuttlemax 12, I can cover just about any situation with Bergantino greatness. Not too interested in much else for the foreseeable future. So, DONE (for the moment).

I would like to ask here some opinions about how the Accugroove stuff compares to those new super 12 (baer, fearful, thunderchild etc).
I own a Tri112 L that I use as a standalone and I'm pretty much satisfied tonewise (I power it with a GK RB700II): only I find the Accugroove somewhat cumbersome to carry around because of its dimensions (weight is fine at 38 lbs) and handles placement. Something like the Baer or the Barefaced Midget seems more manageable...
Accugroove was the new great thing a couple of years ago when I bought it but now this whole new generation of cabs has popped up...
Comments? Suggestions?

The toughest thing about trying all these cabs, is it's darn near impossible :(

There have been a lot of opinions expressed here, and there's a lot to consider.

Some folks LOVE what is theirs and paid for :)

Everyone has different goals.

IMO there are some misguided and downright silly opinions expressed, but someone could just as easily accuse me of the same thing regarding my opinion...

Try everything you can try and good luck!
