The theme throughout the majority of criticisms of the OP has been entirely off-topic, and then went on to judge him for his observation that his transgressor was overweight, rather than what the kid actually did. This is what you said:

The OP said nothing even approaching that. You made it up based on your assumption of him. You intimated that he is needy and insecure. I happen to think that's ugly.

People talk about "content of character" as if it's some revelation, but not many here in this thread did it. They judged the OP based on his factual observation that the kid was fat. Which I assume was a true observation, and not a judgement. While I agree that the physical appearance of the brat had nothing to do with what happened, it would be nice if peeps could focus on the facts - that the kid was a little shite - instead of knee-jerk crap designed to make the people who judge feel better in putting down the OP.

Statements like "he probably," or "might be..." and even bringing race into it (as you did) is repeated throughout the admonitions of the OP. Everything like that is unprovable supposition designed in the head of the accuser. I wish we could stick to the facts and form our opinions based on that, but our society today trains us all to judge everyone on anything that one may find remotely "offensive."

Perhaps the OP could have worded his frustration differently, but when we are angry things come out not as we'd like. I'm sure the OP posted here just to vent a bit to his "comrades," but instead he got a belittling of his own. I don't agree and think the OP should get some slack. None of us know him, and intimating he has an "ugly" mind or whatever is just freaking stupid. And judgemental.

Guys... stop trying to make unhealthiness socially acceptable. Stop considering it an attribute, as fixed as the type of wood a bass was made from, instead of the rusty strings it is: real problems that can be fixed and indefinitely prevented in the future with very simple maintenance. Please. That is all.

Anyway, today I learned not to tell any of you if some kid says some dumb thing to me in a store and I find it amusing
