12 year old know it all!...Not!

2. Laziness and complete absence of budgeting skills. It takes work to prepare healthy food. I know a LOT of people on some sort of government assistance (on a side note, pretty much all of them are white - which crushes another false meme). My wife and I are SHOCKED at how often they eat at McDonalds and live off junk food at home. That stuff is not only unhealthy, but ludicrously expensive. We avoid it for BOTH reasons.
^^^^This, times a billion!!!^^^^ (Race part aside. The shoe fits all races)

It was probably Jed and not really Jethro:

Couldn't be. He's not fat lol :)

My son was very outgoing when he was about that age, and always talked to adults without fear, as if he were one. It wasn't disrespectful; it was confident.

There is nothing more bone crushing to a little kid than someone poking holes in their balloons when they are excited about something.

I can remember the buzz of excitement I felt when my parents would take me to Chuck Levin's or Veneman's Music when I was little.

Congratulations on outwitting a 12 year-old. ;)

Veneman's music you say? My dad tells me a lot about that place from the 90's. You live in the DC/MD/VA area, or is Veneman's a national chain?

Once upon a time, in a place called America, kids showed respect for their elders and didn't talk like that to adults with arrogance. Now, in this present day, American kids can disrespect elders, and be protected by their parents. This is called the wimpification of America. Why do you have so many in teens and 20's acting like children, and not adults? Because their behavior is protected and encouraged.

Just look at who's raising them and the people that raised their parents. Really what you're saying is that your generation essentially ruined modern kids by not teaching them the respect you expect to be given. Or are you and likeminded people the exception to the rule? If your generation has it all figured out, why is it doing such a crap job of showing today's kids the right path? Or is that TV's fault?

Yep. Kids, these days...

I teach gifted and talented 11-12 year olds and they can be very disrespectful and vocal probably because they think they know everything. However I always have to be careful and remember that I'm the adult in the situation so I can't result to name calling and getting personal about it. Kids can be annoying, I was annoying as a kid too! I think he'll grow out of it. I'm sure you can grow out of it too.

Would oat brand count?
Uh... is that a thing? I didn't know that was a thing. I'm suppose to count the oats? Isn't there like a gazillion, plus or minus two or three hundred per package? Does it say on the box?

I havn't seen any bug parts in my oatmeal lately. At least not that the cat didn't contribute post bowl insertion.
I think that's good.

I got $2 off on a package of 12 socks. Haynes. That's a good sock brand count, isn't it?
Maybe I should Troll a Poll about that.

I also bought carrots so I can include that in the poll.
