So being "fat" means that you're either a failure as a human being or that society has failed you as a human being, right? Is that about where this is going? Or is it more about having respect for one another and enough humility to cast aside those aspersions, juxtaposed against an attitude that sees it as a fundamental breakdown of personal will power undeserving of anything but tough love and hard lessons about reaping the fruit of living less than optimally? It's hard for me to make the leap from OP's decision to include ones personal appearance into a story where that trait didn't come into play, to some peoples assertions that folks are gonna be judged by every last freckle on their tit and "that's just how it is". Can someone fill in the blanks for me?
