A Traynor YBA 200 and a custom built cab. Features a 15" and an 8" which I never use. Should have gone with 2x15 instead

yo man, love the 15 inch sound, but im 50.. back in the day thats what we all used and we still sound good..jammin a mid 90's model peavey combo 115 now,300 watts still sounds great...i might ,just coz im gettin a little pressure from outside sources ,pre amp a 2-10 on top,but these same peps suggested a new rig some time back and wanted me to go 4-10 ,and no 15 ,they still wear the scares from that day...15 for life....

Got an EVS-15S en route for my 1516 too.
Gonna recone the 10" in it for now, then save up my lunch money for an upgrade to it. I've also got a pair of EVM-18B's commin' my way... but that's another story for another club thread.

The two sideways cabs on the left are 2x15's.

I'll gladly accept either number 420, or 666.

This is my kinda club. I've currently got an Ampeg B200R 1x15 Combo. By this time tomorrow I'll own an Ampeg 2x15.

Sweet rig and sexy P-Bass! Slightly off-topic: what's up with your E-string?

Heh, that's my unique setup. I did a lot of experimenting with all
kinds of stings (it was a very expensive experiment by the way). I found
that I liked TI Jazz flatwounds best on the high end. However, they
sounded very dull on the E. They lacked that classic old school P-bass
growl which the Fender 8250 roundcore(taperwounds) gave me.
After some more experimenting, I found that the Fender 8250 E and
A strings transition very nicely into the TI Jazz A, D and G strings.
I could have chosen either the Fender or the TI string for A and it would
sound almost identical.

So, I ended up with a Fender 8250 roundwound on the E and TI Jazz
flatwounds on the A, D and G. I think the setup sounds great --
especially through a 215.

So, that's just my oddity. Don't knock it until you've tried it.

lol I do the opposite. I string flatwounds on all and then add a roundwound for the G string. I like the sharper tone for pops. It works for me.
