I'm in!
I use this for guitar... don't hate! I've used it for bass in the studio, but it's simply not powerful enough to play out on!
This is an Ampeg b25 into a 2x15 b25 cabinet at 16ohms. I run it into a Marshall powerbreak, bridge the channels, and turn everything all the way up, Marty McFly style. It's the only way...

I love 15s! But sometimes the 12s do just as well for small gigs, and save the back in the process... Then I pull out the 15s again and hear what I've been missing!
Traynor YBA-4 w/15" for Studio:
TL606D for outdoor gigs:
Prefer my single TL606 for gigs when possible. Sometimes I throw my TL806 on top of it. Much easier to lug around than my TL606D!!
No pics of the TL606 or 1982 Carvin 1x15... Maybe I can add them later...

Tifftunes, what drivers do you have in your TL cabs? And is the driver in your YBA4 stock? My buddy has one and could maybe use a driver upgrade, the tone is not inspiring.

The driver in the YBA-4 is "OE" (stock), and appears to have a "deeper" cone than any other I've seen. In fact, I put a few different drivers in it, and prefer the original every time! Original tube compliment as well! That means 35+ years old, and STILL sounding great!!!
All my TL cabs started out with EVM**Ls (15 or 12), and now have what Eminence called "BassLites" a few years ago... I'm guessing 2515 and 2512... They weren't designated as DeltaLites then...
From what I understand, they are more mid-bass oriented. They are plenty deep enough so far, and cut through a band mix just fine. I'm very interested in trying the 3015 and 3012, but hesitate due to the port size. And the formula of "if it ain't broke..."
Haven't heard anyone say they aren't "bass-y" enough. Gotta count for something! The bass "energy" perceived from the 2x12 is excellent! Very enjoyable! My favorite cab so far though is definitely the 1x15. Gets the most compliments too.

Heh, I just wanted to hook it up - and the Little Giant is plenty loud, 2 separate amps powering 500 watts each into 4ohms per side. Don't know if I'll ever show up at a gig with these monster cabs and my 5 lb head, but who knows? Pretty fun to set up tonight.
P.S. Does this mean I'm a God?
Awesome setup but you fail at amplification.
I'd use my SVT CL if I ever got called to a gig that required this Stoner Rock set-up! The Little Giant makes a really good keyboard amp though when I get called to play keys for some gigs...
2x Bag End S15-Ds, under a salvaged Trace-Elliot 250SMX. Here with the "woodshed rig", an old laptop and mixer, for learning new tunes.
In my guts, 15s are all I really want to play through. Just found a couple old Fender cabs in a light swap deal, I might make 1 out of 2 for tuning purposes- I'm just thinking maybe they won't be deep enough... some of those older cabs weren't tuned as well as they tend to be nowadays, I don't think. We'll see when I pick 'em up.
Of course, then there's that quote in my "signature" space below here, making me a liar!

I'll post. I'm running the same amp as the OP, but I use a Fender 115 and an Eden 210 with it. Quite nice. This very modest rig did quite well for itself at the international gtg last year; I think it sounds nice. I have run my amp through a Peavey 215 cab and it sounds loud and great!
"160 Watts". I've played through amps with much higher "watts" numbers that weren't as loud or clear as this. Peavey is very conservative with their ratings.

The "countour" knob should be labelled "ASS". The more you crank it up the more it sounds like ass. I don't know what the hell. My Trace Elliot Boxer 30 practice amp has a similar situaiton - a button labelled "MIDSHIFT". I think they could have left the "F" out. It sounds like farting dog crap with that button pressed, but sounds fantastic on its own.

Joined today just to throw my hat in the ring on this thread. Boy, this thread sure has been around for awhile. My Gallien Krueger 2001 head + GK Neo 412 + Peavey 215. The bass i was using at the time was a Fender JP90 American from '94 that i found in 2001 for $250. Honestly, the Gallien Kreuger part of my rig is long gone altogether. The 2x15 however, i still use on an almost daily basis for bass as well as guitar. With my '67 Blackface powering the peavey 215 with a sansamp para up front i can alternate between bass and guit w almost no changes in channels or amp settings and get beautiful tones either way. i got all of the wood cut today for my newest 2x15 cab (it's going to have two 3015's). here's a pic of the front baffle:
i already have three other 2x15 cabs (all with JBL K140') and a 4x15 (also with K140's) but i'm making this one a fairly lightweight (and smaller) one to use with my STM900 or my SVT heads.
