1966 Rickenbacker 4005

I sold it last August to someone who is having PW restore it. I think Paul should refinish it in Ruby! 
I guess my question earlier in the thread has gotten over looked... so I'll try again...
Can anyone please tell me what the small knob on the control plate does?

I dont see how John Hall thinks the top gorn looks like a wiener, you really have to get "creative" to see that in the bass........ he must have something on his mind.
As mentioned above, it is a "blend" knob, but what it really does is act as a second volume control for the neck pickup but it does not cut off the pickup fully when fully CC (it works in reverse to a "normal" volume control) as the third lug that would usually be grounded is not connected to anything.
My former 4005WB had a Rick-O-Sound jack in place of the 5th [DEL]element[/DEL] knob. And, the .0047µF cap was already replaced with a piece of wire when I got the bass in 1973. I'd recommend anyone with a 4005 to do the same.
