2 AMPEG 810e's????

Congrats on the new cab, total overkill and I would hate to have you in or near my band, but hey, more power to you. :D

Yeah, I like many didn't know Furtureshop was selling gear, I knew Best buy did in the states and they are the same mother company but I have never seen anything beyond $100 guitar and amp kits.

In regards to whyh the cabs are on there side, to my understanding it give you a better tone with a more balanced sound. I honestly have no idea I would never bother with 1 8x10 let alone 2 8x10s so I would know anything about the configurations beyond what I have heard.

8x10s stacked on their sides is a fairly common setup though, I am sure you can search for some better answers.

Well it's certainly good that you can comment on it never having used it and hating the idea of it ;)

The only difference between two 810's on their sides stacked up and two 810's vertical side by side is you might get an inch or two extra height with the cabs on their sides. Otherwise the performance is identical.

I'm glad someone gets it. Sometimes it feels like this forum is turning into the old man screaming "get off my lawn!" Sometimes you do things because you think they are "fun" or "cool." For every post of encouragement it seems like there are ten telling somebody not to do/try something.

I wouldn't do it, but if it floats someone else's boat, go for it. You'll reach an age where you can't do it without roadies, so do it while you can.

This is true. I don't find 810's all that hard to move but then again I am only 46

Because I have 2 does not mean they will always be used together, but together with the SVT it is AWESOME. I like to use my V4BH through one 810 and some times I like running the SVT through a TRAYNOR TC412. So basically the photo of the three pieces of gear in my avatar can be separated and used in a variety of configurations. Imagine that.
