I'm looking to upgrade my rig, but before I can add a cab I need to find a mid-sized head that can handle 2 ohms.

Right now, all I know about is the Eden WT-405, Ampeg B500DR, and the Yamaha BBT500H. I like the Eden much better than the latter two.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else knew a few other heads that can hit 2-ohms? I'm looking for something preferably under $1000.

I'm part-owner of a grocery store; one of the benefits is I can take lots of breaks to go on Talkbass and there's no boss to bust me for it, but the downside is that doing so just means I'm putting off doing work that has to be done, and it has to be done whether we're open or closed, and nobody else will pick up my slack. :)

Your question was,, “what amp can Hit 2 ohms”.. So I gave you the names of a few that I have used, and two that i currently own... I have SVTs and a B1500, each do 2 ohms, as well as the eden Wt550 that i borrowed while the 800C was in constant repair.

It is up to you to decide which one to select from that group if any at all after your research..

If you read my thread, as it appears you have and digested it, you would realize it was not an Eden bash..

Just simply me trying to see if anyone else has the same problem as on #1post and me tying to let folks know about USM and what you CAN NOT read on the Eden forum because they delete it.. and all other threads that were written about it right after NAMM.

If you read all of my post you will see I always maintained that the Eden head sounded great..
It was their Customer Service Issue that was the problem and after 3 months I was done with it and the ridiculous excuses always provided by them..

You should have asked "what amp do you recommend" which is different than “what amp hits 2 ohms". Two completely different questions will get two different answers…

I was just poking fun. Didn't mean to seem like I was having a go at you. I was looking at your thread the other day and saw that someone had linked the KB/Tribal thread to compare situations.

I appreciate your suggestions, and I will take them into consideration. You are absolutely right as far as my question/your answer. Sorry if I offended you.
