2013-14 NHL Regular Season Thread: Second Period

I can believe it, and find it perfectly reasonable. Consol doesn't hide the fact that they want to have a family-friendly atmosphere at their games. Start acting like a dick or scream out F bombs and your ass is getting canned. Crosby Sucks would have been fine, but the other two add the sexual connotation making it against their family-friendly policy. Article makes it sound like these guys were cherry picked because they were Flyers fans, which isn't the case at all. They were just following standard protocol. They were still allowed to attend the game.

Extremely poor taste. I wouldn't have let them in like that either. Not too easy to explain that kind of garbage to kids. "Neal Swallows"??? Come on man, you're not in a neighborhood bar or playing poker with your friends...

Actually if you follow that Jersey Fouls section, you'd be surprised at what makes it in to a lot of arenas, NHL and others. I've seen some bad ones myself in various sports and venues. Some hilariously bad ones where fans are letting their emotions known about players and teams and divided loyalties.

I was sort of sarcastic, but the BLOWS and SUCKS jerseys I didn't think were too bad, there's plenty of them out there for different players. The SWALLOWS jersey did take it too far though although I say keep following the Jersey Fouls and you'll see really bad on occasion.

As far as language used at games? Been at any Mite games lately? At least this area it's really bad.

Great game in Philly last night. Hawks took an early 2-0 lead but Flyers tied it by the end of the 1st. Giroux with a laser shot to win it with 4.2 seconds left in OT to win it. Simmonds did get tossed around like a rag doll though. Emery looked solid in goal after being off due to injury. Philly spent more of the night in Chicago's zone, really looked good against them.

Philly is now 35-18-7 since their 1-7 start.

Wow, three goals last night went in because Pens D men knocked them in, including the game winner with 0.5 seconds left in OT.

More typical Pens bullcrap last night. Lose their composure, make a bunch of dumb mental mistakes, get behind on the scoreboard because of all the free power plays. Then through greater talent and a little luck, come back and take the lead and no one gets punished for what happened earlier. I'm starting to really hate James Neal.

I remember during a Pens Habs game a couple of months ago, Subban made some really dumb mistakes and Therrien benched him for almost a whole period. I can't even fathom Bylsma doing something like that. He's lost control of the team.

How did the Pens lose to the Flyers in the playoffs? They lost their composure and had a mental melt down. Same thing has happened in half of the last 10 games. At this point I would like to see Bylsma fired. I don't think he's a bad coach, but I think he's no longer the right coach.
