2013-14 NHL Regular Season Thread: Second Period

I'll say this straight up, James Neal is a dirtier player than Matt Cooke. Cooke had a few incidents that were intentional and then a lot of other times he just seemed a victim of circumstance. Neal is repeatedly lining guys up and taking dirty hits. He cross checked Glendening in the head, right after Neal came back from a concussion! He must have some wires loose. He is a moron.

All's well in Calgary today after an 8 - 1 drubbing of the Oilers last night. Good to finally see a return on the Iginla deal with Agostino playing the last 2 games, looking good but not getting any points as of yet. Nice, too, to see Stajan score on a great backhand penalty shot after the personal troubles him and his wife have undergone with the death of a new born twin daughter recently.

It was his son I think.
And yeah I loved his pointing to the sky in honour of his deceased son.

You're right. Just saw his after game interview where he said "that was for the little guy."

What'd you think of the oilers fan throwing his jersey onto the ice again? Hahahahahahahaha Scrivens must have been so pissed.

And as for Hawks fans, they're terrible. They got nuts after getting shutting out by Nashville. It's one game. You'll still make the playoffs for Gods sake.

I've seen Div 1 college hockey, but have never made it to an NHL game until tonight.

My wife got tickets through her work to see the B's v. Canadians at the Garden tonight - they are pretty high up in the balcony, but I am still very excited to go. :hyper:

You'll get to see the winning streak end.
I predicted last week the Habs would lose to Columbus, then beat the Leafs, The Bruins, and the Sabres.
Should still be an amazing game to see. You won't believe the energy watching a live NHL game. Especially Habs and Boston, which IMHO is the greatest sports rivalry in history.

Remember how excited we were when Scuderi resigned? Maybe LA knew something we didn't. Maybe Scuderi is still hurt, but trying to play through it like Morrow did last year, which ended up hurting the team more than helping it.
