I'm watching the Penguins/NYR game, but it's hard to decide who to root for. I hate both of these teams.
Not a lot of travelling distance, but with LA traffic it might be faster to fly a charter from Boston to Montreal if you don't take into account the 4 hours that Canadian Customs agents spend grilling Chara.
It's been awhile since I've seen the Pens play that well up and down the ice for a complete game. Crosby looked more like his normal self than he has recently. Fleury came up big, the defense made the right checks and passes, Malkin seemed to step up his game a bit. Despite the happy outcome in PIT, I was disappointed the Wild and Bryzgalov got lit up. A so-so day in the playoffs for this NHL fan.
Is Quick back, and starting to peak? He can carry the Kings to the SC if he keeps up his recent play. Crazy good in game one with ANA.

Quick is starting to find his championship form again. We'll have to be extremely lucky to get past Chicago and even more lucky to face most likely Boston
Awesome full 60 minute game by the Penguins last night. Poor King Henrique. Can you imagine that guy on a sound defensive team like Boston? That would be scary.
Also bummed that Bryz isn't doing well for Minnesota. I've always wanted him to do well.

Ron Francis is making his mark in Carolina. Today he fired Kirk Muller and his coaching staff. I think they kept the guy who shines the pucks though: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I agree. There is no stopping the Bruins this post season. I'd really rather the Pens lose to the Rangers than the Bruins.

I hope the hockey gods answer my prayers and see the Bruins collapse. Don't want filthy Marchand laying his greasy fingers on that Cup again. Anyone but them, please!
I love the Habs for life....but I can't stand the way the Montreal press/public has made Carey Price out to be the greatest goalie ever. He's mediocre at best, no heart. Sure, he will steal the occasional game, but he has the worst glove I have ever seen on an NHL goalie. He should have thumbtacks in his pads so he stays on his feet. Boston has figured out he sucks top corner. You won't see Boston crashing the net and banging at the puck. Price is really good in close.. Your gonna see a ton of shots from far at the corners. Montreal might win another game, but they will never be a true contender until they get rid of Price.
I know...we had our chance with Halak who is the opposite of Price....he's mediocre most of the time, but he coulda stole us a cup just like Patrick Roy!!
I really really really hope when we get bumped of by the Bruins they trade Price. The Bruins are my second favorite team after the Habs...the last time they won the cup, they had 14 Canadian players in their starting roster. The cup spent the summer in Canada!
