I know...but its been 4-5 years of hearing how great Carey Price is, when he is very average and has the worst glove in the NHL....and, he absolutely sucks under pressure.

Yeah right....the Canadian Gold medal team, IMHO, was the finest hockey team to ever play. I'm a 50 yr old beer league goalie, and I would have won gold with that team in front of me....seriously.
2 years ago, he won all the stupid local awards, yet he was 32 and 33rd in GAA and save pct...which means there were 2 backup goalies that had better numbers. Its ridiculous....the classic "Emperors clothes story"
Ducks fans finally realize the "Beat LA" chant is only making the Kings work harder and score more often since Game 4 against San Jose. I haven't heard them chant it all third period.
Impressive showing from Fleury again. I love it when he stays home and makes plays. When he gets out and starts moving around, trying to do too much, that's when he gets hung up. In my opinion, he is trusting his defense more, and they have earned it. Paul Martin made some great plays tonight, as did Scuderi. Heck, even Letang played within his limits tonight. It looks like him and Quick are heating up just at the right time.

Fleury has really been impressive these last two games. NYR barraged him with shots but he was like a brick wall. It's about time Crosby finally got a puck into the net. He has not been playing up to the "greatest player in the National Hockey League" role that the announcers give him.
That goal by Crosby was slick....the way he looked corner, shelf, then turned the blade over and rammed it 5 hole....all at top speed....even Lundquist was impressed. No push back from the Blueshirts. Overall pretty boring game.
Now, the Ducks/Kings tilt was playoff hockey to the max. Standing room only at the massage tables after that one.

Both games last night were pretty good. Watching Crosby break through finally was nice. I also agree that our defense was firing on all cylinders, again. Hopefully they can keep that up. If last night's Pens show up the rest of the series they should come out on top. I dare even say, if those Pens keep showing up, it'd be a good BOS/PIT showdown.

Great game by Fleury. No signature acrobatic MAF saves, but that means he had good positioning. He only seemed a little loose once the entire game.

KINGS. Gaborik lighting it up thirty seconds into the game. If the Gabi-Kopi-Richards line keeps this up, they'll be just as dangerous as any top line in the NHL.
Yep! It's referred to as "Mario's TV" around here. If you had been able to catch any of the ROOT broadcasts of the first round against Columbus, they'll usually show cut shots of the fans going nuts. They also still do the goal light on the Gulf Tower.

Not playoff related, but here is video of why hockey is the greatest sport on the planet. Ryan Smyth of the Edmonton Oilers retires after 18 years. At the end of the game the Vancouver Canucks come back on the ice and line up to shake hands with the retiring veteran player. You don't see this kind of class in too many other sports.
