2013-2014 NHL playoffs thread.

The Cooke thing was overblown. The same "penalty" in another game wasn't called.
Wild peppered Crawford and with even a little luck something should have gone in. Hockey is a strange sport. A strange bounce can win a game as much as a great play.

We'll have to wait and see how next year goes.

Time to become a Montreal fan I guess.

And if the Habs lose? Who will you bandwagon onto after that? :P

I'll always support my Kings. If they lose to Anaheim tomorrow, then oh well. At least we got stingy little Sharks out of the way. Honestly, I want anyone to win EXCEPT Boston

Just for the rest of the year so I have someone to watch for another game. I'll be back with the Wild next season.

I think if you have watched you'd see that he has not played the same as he has in the past. Not as "dirty" as he used to be. Why won't you let a guy change? Penalizing for past plays isn't exactly right either.

Tyson Barrie's leg notwithstanding? I'd "let" a guy change, if he actually did. This little f****r hasn't & I doubt he ever will. All he did was take a longer break than usual before taking a guy out. Enough is enough. He should have been suspended for life.

I think that's BS.

No way I want to see the Bruins in the next round. They are too physical and too deep and have a stellar goalie.

It's going to be tough against the Canadiens too... But I think there's no doubt the Rangers have a better match up against them.

I am however, surprised at the pundits overlooking the player aspect too. Crosby only netted one goal this entire post season. For a captain especially, to me, that is unacceptable. Geno had some great plays and goals, but still underperformed. And some of our other players I think need to be looked at very closely the next few months. I don't know what all needs to change - I'm just a fan. But it's getting tiring seeing us blow through the regular season as if very little can stop us, and then fall flat on our faces as soon as playoffs roll around. It'll be interesting to see what changes all happen, if any.

If the Habs lose personally i think of all the teams left for now... only the Rangers maybe i don't mind too much.

If LA wins it'll mean the top three biggest cities in the US are in the semi finals. What does it mean? I don't know, maybe that big markets are now producing the best teams in the NHL? Or maybe not. I just find the fact interesting. One thing for sure, the odds are likely that the stanley cup parade is coming soon to a major US city near you. Well that OR a major canadian city. Its not going to Massachussets anyway because even IF they beat the habs, Boston is still not getting past the semi finals. Playing too unevenly. That's not a Stanley cup team (and no i kinda don't feel the habs are either but if they get past boston it'll be good enough for me, anything beyond that is a bonus)

Five straight game seven wins and a 10-2 record when facing elimination. That there is a goalie I want on my team. I've always liked Lundqvist anyway, and he is the reason I picked the Rangers for the SCF. Not to be forgotten was the fine shot blocking done by the Rangers as well. I'm sort of bummed the Pens lost, but really happy for some good hockey in that game seven. I think I'll be treated to another one tonight.

And the Canucks thought AV was the issue with their playoff failures. No. It wasn't the coach; it was dumba** who gave away two valuable assets for nothing in return, did a shite job with drafting, while simultaneously eating swordfish steaks with his family every night in downtown Vancouver.

Boy, I bet the Canucks' owners are kicking themselves right now.

The more I reflect on last night, and as a whole, the penguins club, I agree more with Shero. And, the more I think about it, the more I would out Shero before Bylsma... Bylsma isn't a great coach, but it's hard to say what he may do with a better built team. Probably flub things up.
