Hey guys I'm looking for another cab to match with my V4b besides the 210AV.
I am looking to sell this cab For Sale/Trade - Euphonic Audio EA NM410 | TalkBass.com

Sign me up, fellas. Just picked one of these up on my lunch break and can't wait to take it for a spin. Will play nicely with my 212AV (x2) cabs, I think and a great compliment to my Fender Super Bassman. Got a CS59 P Bass a few weeks ago, so think I'm set for a while...
We got to play in one of the upstairs bars at the Sunset Strip House of Blues last night. See if you can guess how these pics fit together:
Yep. The elevator was out of order. We got to haul all our gear up these 3 flights of narrow stairs, then back down through a throng of drunk hipsters. They are closing the place down forever at the end of the month, so I guess there was no sense of urgency to have it fixed. A month later, they are tearing the whole building down to make room for what we really need out here in LA: More condos!
But I'll tell ya. It would have been a schlep even with a micro-rig, and having the tone of this rig was worth every palpitation.

Yes - will get pictures soon enough. Got maybe 45 minutes with this amp between last night and this morning. Been running it through only one of my 212AVs an holy moly, what a tone machine. Traded my Mesa Walkabout to get this and it was absolutely worth it. Doesn't quite have the thickness of my Super Bassman, but feels a bit more open. Warm, warm, warm. I'm thinking 100w through both 212s will be about perfect for what I do - clean enough for the old school country, rock and blues, but get a bit of drive in our fourth set (when we're doing the heavy Allman Bros thing). The CS59 Pbass is a dream and a match made in heaven. Chocolate and peanut butter, Jack and Coke, a beautiful girl and... Well, you get the idea...
Yep, I've found the V4B+212AV has been pretty perfect for most all my gigs so far since I bought this rig few months back.
Those larger outdoor gigs, cept for one, didn't happen this year. So no 4x12's yet; 3x12's yes. Just as well, too darn hot to be giggin outdoors here in the Houston area these days. So the single, 212AV works. The couple other outdoor parties I did were of the house, poolside type; TC-E BG250 sufficed. ( so mini-
)
Although, I've garnered 3 new basses recently since I got this rig; GAH!
And yeah, they all work great with the 'Peg Rig too. But I still just find the single 212AV just abit easier and much quicker to haul about than the two, 112AV's; so they sit home.

A Fender Super Bassman for the big uns (&the amazing weight behind each note )
& a V4B RI for most other gigs. Congrats! !!!
I wish I had a SVT212AV to go with mine. I hear nothing but great reports about that cab.

I've got a corporate gig tonight at a function Centre and due to me working at my day job now, and having to go straight to the gig after. ... I had no time but to gran my gig bag with my Aguilar TH500 in it for tonight's gig.
I'll post a few pics later. Gonna run it into just the one Fender Bassman Pro Neo 115 cab. Should be plenty and will sound great. But. .... I'll still miss my tubes.

Funny how that's worked out - we seem to be pretty aligned in terms of gear selection!
I do still have the NV412 and actually pulled it out for my last gig. Was the first time I'd used it since I got the Ampeg cabs - tough to say which cab configuration I like the best. Haven't tried the V4B with the NV412 yet, but I bet it will be a good match. I think it is a bit more full on the low end, which would compliment the V4B well, I think.
The Super Bassman isn't going anywhere, though - that thing is a cannon! The V4B has me jonesing a bit for another SVT - but I have absolutely zero need for one...

Gig tonight, originals band playing funk n soul style. Venue - Club that I regularly play in, full PA usually ( in my other band that plays there on Fridays n Saturdays -they - we - supply a pro sound engineer) but week nights, it's just the club's onstage mixing desk and we used it as a vocal PA - with kick n keys going thru also. Place holds 2-300 ppl, but tonight, Wed & 3°C 1 c c c cold! !! ! There were about 50 ppl.
This is a new band and thus we're trying to build a crowd/following.
I used my V4B into the 4 ohm Berg AE410 with my 93 EBMM Stingray 5 with round wound Elixirs on. I was a li'l worried it might not have enough clean volume for the place - as I wasn't in the FOH PA system, but I was just on its limits, with a li'l crunch when I dug in. Glorious tone and plenty of balls!
I actually ran the cabs tweeter up about 2/5ths of the way on ( I usually leave it off totally) as I was gonna do a li'l popping, slap here n there.
Ran the eq almost flat. Probly BASS 12 o'clock, mids @ 800 - 1 o'clock, & treble - 1 o'clock also, both ultras off & had a superb gutsy funk tone. Ampeg surely ain't just a rock amp! Was thinking of engaging the ultra hi & low (as I did at rehearsal the other night) but didn't need to. Was all good as it was! Great stuff again!

Loving the V4B!
I went to Guitar Center today for a price adjustment on a Boss LS-2 and saw a V4B while I was waiting. I went and tried it out through a 410HLF and it sounded amazing. At first I looked like an idiot because I kept thinking it was not turning on because I'm so accustomed to the really loud fan noise of my SVT-CL and VR. I'm very tempted to pick one up now.
Has anyone done a 3-4 hour gig outside in hot weather yet? I am wondering how the amp will handle with no fan. I'm sure it will be fine but having an amp shut down mid gig due to overheat is no fun.

+1 You can always get a fan for such gigs if you wanted. I used to use a fan that had a large clip for a base that I would clip to the towel bar on my 810e.
