Don't want to disillusion you, but the 100T is not "louder" than the V4B. I owned both for a while and the V4B was definitely louder for the clean tone that I prefer. The 100T is a great amp but seemed to break up earlier and less harmoniously than the V4B, which is why I sold it and kept the V4B. Mind you, both go pretty darned loud anyway.[/QUOT
I've actually never needed to run the 100t in my regular band flat chat except when in the 25 watt setting and even then it handled the gig well as far as stage volume went. Though admittedly we used 2 deps last gig on keys and guitar so maybe the overall band was louder but never expected to need the gain and master both literally cranked on the v4b, maybe I should've be adding more mids though I was trying to avoid too much as we were playing funk. Anyway, loving the simplicity and tone of the ampeg, so simple to dial in great usable sounds. Actually swapped the 100t today as part payment on a Blastcult 145 double bas but that's another story. Anyway looking forward to receiving av212 in the next day or so![]()
