I am a new happy owner of this little beast! Found a good deal and couldn't pass by...
I hoped this amp to be my main amp. I was also considering the big SVT's but first the weight was a deal breaker for me and second I would like power tube distortion in less deafeaning levels.
Also I already have a modern Hiwatt 200 clone (Weber Mywatt 200) and wanted something fresh and well a more Ampegy sound tbh

But I didn't know if the V-4B will be up for the task...more importantly if the horsepower would be enough.
Good protective packaging and it arrived in one piece! The close up look is sexy and the external quality is top notch!
In action: I only had a chance to do one rehearsal with my band. The tone in medium volumes is classic Ampeg. Nice and sweet. But imo the real magic in this amp is the power tube distortion...the feel is pure addiction If I may say. Think like Queens of the Stone age sound on their early albums plus that feel that makes you want to play more...
It seems that the power is barely enough for my needs with the heritage 810 but that doesn't mean that it's not a loud amp. We just play in loud levels in the stoner/doom genre. And it's always thick and authoriative sounding...I just think that I needed a little less compression/more burst headroom for when I kick my pedals.
Will need a few more rehearsals to fully tune it. The band members liked it more than the Mywatt and I am excited so far. The volume department is a debate. I really wish it was ~180 watts but I think I may be able to do it
