Is it made in the good ol' US of A? I'm not able to watch the video until after work... And I can't wait till then!

It's designed in the USA but manufactured in China. I had to expand the video to full screen on a 26" monitor to read the tiny writing under where the serial label goes - and that's what it says.

You know, I've never really been an Ampeg man myself, but I have to say A) this is dang cool and B) I love seeing a new 100w. I prefer lower watt tube amps to get more grind and breakup, and it's cool to see more of them. I'll stick with my Sunns for now, but if I ever need a modern backup, I'll totally keep these in mind.

BB, head's $1299, 212 cab's $699, 112's $499.

Man, after seeing Dino's vid, letting the wife get the horse is sounding pretty good to me ;)

Thanks Jim! I saw it later (after my post). I was in the process of going over a couple of contracts and looking at this at the same time.

Couldn't see it because it was in front of my eyes.....:D

I think that I will get the VR cloth for the 610, buy the V4B and sell the 4Pro. Damn....that sounds sexy as hell.......:D

Sure does! Should rock proper. But selling the 4 Pro...that's pretty drastic ;)

I'm retiring at the end of the month. I've had it with "teenage rock stars" and the crap that accompanies them. My Wife and I are selling our home and leaving Californa for more "normal" digs. I was sitting in the office the other day and Sergeant Hulka's words kept ringing in my ears "Im getting too old for this sh$t!" Already let the band know so they're in the process of replacing me. I wanted to move back to Kansas (boyhood home) but Wifey insists on being by family in Colorado

Anyway, I'm trying to scale back a bit and I figure to replace one with the other. The 4 has been a great road worthy amp but nothing I'll probably need in the future. The V4B would (I hope) fill the void with whatever local band I hook up with in the future.

But you know...the closer it gets to selling it, the "less inclined" I will probably be....parting is hard......:D

Maybe this will boost the market value of the real deal. Last I looked you could pick one up for around 700. Should be worth 1800 now that it has a look alike little cousin for 13.

Still wouldn't sell mine; absolutely slays with two fifteens under it.

There's one near me for $499. If I had $499 I'd be posting pics of a 75 V4B with my bass plugged into it.

I remember seeing these all day long for $250. Of course, that same year I bought '78 fretless P-Bass. 1995 or so.

"B string didn't sound that full"

Clips over the interweb always kinda have some shortcoming or other.
Wait til that lil beauty is in stores and go play one.

Just because JJ still makes them doesn't mean they're any good. I've got no experience with their 7027's and couldn't say if that's the case, but they make 12dw7's that are garbage, so I wouldn't expect a whole lot out of a JJ-made low-demand tube like the 7027, either. Plus a company like Ampeg has to buy in quantity, and who knows if JJ can make enough 7027's to supply them? The tubes themselves aren't as important as the overall circuit, anyway. If the sound is there, I really couldn't care what tubes they use.
