The btbs I tried with the Aguilar pickups were amazing. Would love if they would do a single cut btb with those pickups.

That's good. I was a bit let down by the variety. Hoping the the US catalog has a few more interesting bass options in it. Personally interested in the EUB, the SRH505F, the reddish fanned fret SR6 and thinking of picking up another BTB 6, the 1806E, while there are still a few rosewood ones out there. Rosewood basses .... and the 1806E is loaded with rosewood .... may become collector's items ... who knows.
Just a wish: Re-issue of the RS721, maybe if I start a campaign now they might do a special "40th Anniversary" special edition for 2022...ya pipedreams, lol.
The rosewood alternatives are not my cup of tea, looks like the cheap light colored rosewood you see on sub $200 guitars. Unless I missed it, looks like wenge necks are also gone. This will be a rough year for the big companies with all the CITES stuff IMO.
It's true. They are the only company mass producing anything out of the norm or progressive for bassists. As a 6 string bass guy as well, they are very committed to my instrument and I appreciate that.
That blue burst model looks amazing. I only wish they would make a 6 string version.
