Where did you hear that Ibanez is to release an electric upright bass? I would be really interested in that.
I would also love to see a Buckeye Burl BTB Premium or Prestige 6 String bass with the 35" scale. They should also come release the Aerium SRH505F in a 6 string model.

No ebony on basses in a long time but they've slowly been adding guitar models with ebony and maple. I'm holding out hope for ebony on a wenge neck

That would be killer since Buckeye is my favorite wood.
I am a bit surprised they have not done a Buckeye Burl Prestige BTB 6, Japanese made for around $3,000.00 or so, yet actually. There are a lot of people who would buy it I think. I would for instance. I remember they did a Buckeye Premium SR 5.

Yeah I owned 2 of those SR5BBLTD basses in Buckeye and they was beautiful. I would much rather have the BTB though.

Never had the pleasure to try one of those but the photos I have seen sure looked great. Did you ever get that new Warrior you were talking about a few months back? The photos you had shown of the build looked amazing.
I did get it and it looked amazing but I was severely let down with the tone and build quality of that Warrior compared to others I've had and what I paid to have it built.
Geez that's awful. I have an Isabella 6 and it's beautiful but I guess custom instruments can be hit and miss in the tone department (besides that, "good tone" is a subjective concept). But I would say that there should be no possible excuse for build quality given the cost of Warrior instruments.
Thanks for posting that. It looks like a shorter scale NS Design bass. Can't wait to try one. I was hoping it would be more of a small Upright traditional Acoustic bass type body, but it's very nice. If they price it reasonably, it will sell well. I am sure.

I'd love a JEM 6-string bass in lime green and pink, or white with the tree of life.
I'm really curious about the Affirmas. What was the raisons d'être for this model, when it originally came out? How did the originals sound with just one narrow pickup?
