2022 Bass Acquisition Round Up

Thank you! I love this bass. It was the first of the three I got this year and I didn't want to put it down. It plays great and sounds amazing. And it's pretty versatile, too. Especiallyfor a passive instrument. Best thing, I got a 67% discount on it because it's from the show room, but it's basically new.

Probably saved yourself two months breaking in a new neck.

These are my 2022 additions to the bass family. From left to right:
Warwick StarBass - this is a one off from the Warwick Show Room and was built for a convention.
Spector NS-6 XL - absolute beast. I only got this a weak ago and haven't had too much time with it, yet. But the build quality and sound are just ridiculous.
Gibson Les Paul Standard from '93 - 12 lbs of pure awesomeness. This bass might be a boat anker but it sounds killer.

Well, this thread has pushed me over the edge. I'm moving out, getting an inexpensive studio apartment in a run-down part of town, and buying all the basses I want. And maybe some I don't want. I can't let you folks have all the fun! Sorry, Mrs. 'blue.

2022 was a pretty good year.
I finally figured out that I like Precisions better than any other beast and bursts better than any other finish.
I managed to add the following basses:

Fender American Standard Precision Bass
Made in Japan Hybrid 50's Precision Bass
Fender GC FSR Deluxe Precision Bass Special (PJ)
MIJ Fender PB-62 Precision Bass Reissue (PB62-US 3TS)
Ibanez Roadster RS824BS (I finally talked my friend into selling his so now I have two)
Ibanez Roadstar RB924CS

And 2022 is not over. I'm just waiting to hear back from someone to see if I can add one last acquisition to the list before the day is done.

Had two tortoise spare pickguards (red and brown); exchanged original black, for red one.
On next months wanna try somenthing different, like white, cream, mintgreen.

I have ten basses here now...2023 is going to be a pairing down year, two will likely be sold this year.
I only need one... and two is twice as many as I need, so getting back to eight seems like a good idea for me.

I bought a Tiny Boy bass so that I would have at least one 23” scale fretted bass. Sounds good, but the body shape and ergonomics drive me nuts. I may have a whole new body made later on.

Also took delivery of two custom GR Bass 212 Slim combos that were ordered last year. They sound fantastic and are quite easy to move.

woow - where did you get the 212 combos from? I can't find any info on them ...

They are custom made and not a regular item in the GR Bass catalog. I ordered two to make it worth Gianfranco's while. Although I understand someone else in Europe ordered one also, so there are three of them out in the wild.
