2x15s have been a main stay in my set up for a long time. I’ve had
Mesa Road Ready 2x15
Home made Fearless type 2x15
2 Fender Rumble 15s
And last not certainly not least Fender Bassman pro neo 15s (2)
I think for the price, size and weight they can’t be beat, I love these cabs! They are wide so there’s no overhang when using big old vintage heads. I use a Peavey Super Festival 800B as the main head with those heads, they really compliment each other

Yep, I use both 2x15 and/or 1x15 cabs depending on the venue.

My 410 from that line of GB stuff has an insane amount of low end. I can't imagine how much that has.

Not for volume but maybe for the added "bark" the 10's bring. If the OP intends to run 2x15's and 2x10's with the 1 amp, better make sure it can work at less than 4 ohms.

Does anyone still use 2x115 cabinets if so let’s see your set up. Im thinking about getting another Hartke HX115 and using two of them with a hx210 cabinet. Any thoughts

Never let me down; overall not good up against guit-stacks; Acoustic 2-15 would serve that function
Perhaps had I not been ignorant in 71, I would have chosen JBL loaded cab but...

i use an HX Stomp into a power amp, the stomp has a hi-pass in it. I have it set around 55hz I believe.

I stopped using 15” speakers in the 70’s so I don’t have any to show. Not that I’m saying using 15” speakers are bad or outdated, if it were me, I’d buy another hx210 cab as opposed to a 2-15.

The main reason, it would be hard to balance the output of the cabs without a stereo amp. More than likely you are going to hear one or the other.

Secondly, different power limits on 2 different cabs can lead to unused capacity, or worse yet, you may not be able to hear the lower rated cab farting out leading to speaker failure. Further, you are not likely to get the kind of extra low end most going down this path are looking for. Finally, I’ll bet a 210 is a bit less expensive.

Bass Cabs today tend to be full range and speaker size is not the only consideration. Cab efficiency, tonal range is also important IMO.

I use 2-210 cabs and paired they sound much better than the individual cabs by themselves. 210 cabs are easier to transport than a 2-15.

210 cabs are easier to transport than a 2-15.

FWIW, the OP mentioned two 115s, not a 215.

But in any case the two 115s in my earlier post are a big PITA to move and a single 112 was my default gigging choice for quite a few years before I retired.

These are overkill for most of the gigs I was doing, but I still liked to drag them out for the occasional outdoor or big room gig. I narrowed the original cabinets and installed Kappalites on a whim and got lucky. [ one 3015lf, one 3015 with variable tweeter]. They look and sound wonderful. Under 40 pounds each.

I change heads a bit but I use my orange 15 cabs because they are more portable than my 8 and 6 10’s. Also they sound great. I also have an 80’s 215D that I also love love love.

Started with a crate 2x15 cab back in the day. Lusted for a "real" rig, but damned if that 2x15 didnt have enough juice for the super loud metal bands I played in.

Owned 3 "fulls stacks" of various driver sizes with a preference for 12"s since then, but have now come full circle back to a Mesa SW 2x15. At 60lbs with a nice tilt back handle/caster set up, it is super easy to transport. Still somehow sounds like those beastly SUN or Acoustic 2x15 tank cabs.

I have an old school tweeterless Schroeder 1515L which is a NEO loaded 2x15 with one of the 15s facing to the side. It's about the size of a Mesa Boogie Diesel/Road Ready 1x15, only weighs 40 pounds, and is very efficient. I also have a Carvin MB15 1x15 combo with a matching Carvin MBE15 extension cabinet. It's amazing how much headroom and depth the second 15 adds when paired with the combo and both are not much bigger than the size of a 15" speaker.

I gravitate toward 1X15 or 2X15, the latter almost always for large venue and outdoor situations.
