The 3leafaudio.com domain expires 06/19/2021. So hopefully that just means that we're at the end of a web hosting contract and he's moving sites somewhere else.

3 Leaf Audio..... no more? (Chromatron vs Proton)

Was planning to get a Proton v4, Octavbre and You're Doom 2, but they never became available on the site. I guess I'm glad I didn't do what I was going to do and ask if I can just send him the money and get then when available.
Oh gawd does this mean the Chromatron is going to be listing for $1000 used? I don’t think I could bring myself to take it off my board…
I have the Chromatron with an Octabvre MK3 and a Doom 2 in the effects loop. Dude made three of the best and most inspiring pedals I’ve used. I hope he is doing well.

I would contend that that's a very significant part of the DG drama but you're right..
I don't think it had a direct effect 6 years later. But I think it for sure took out a lot out of Spencer. And his time spent at DG would've been better spent on 3Leaf.
We might just be reading too much into this. Maybe the domain just expired and Spencer is looking for another hosting service like someone else said. Who knows.. I personally hope he's well and keeps building pedals as I really liked every pedal of his I tried and the quality is top notch.
I certainly hope that’s the case but then again he hasn’t updated the Facebook page in over a year.

One thing's for sure...that early gold-on-black powder coat and gold-on-black bent steel will always be classic - as will the shamrock logo.
Sadly, being a brilliant creator doesn’t make you a good business person. To my mind, those things seem at opposite ends of the spectrum. I’ve seen so many genius makers of various things (bike frames, motorcycles, pedal makers, etc) have the hardest time running their business. And understandably so. It’s really hard.

Well he hasn't sold or shipped pedals in a while, doesn't reply to emails and now the site and email is down. Hopefully we're wrong but it's not looking good right now at least.. I was hoping to buy an Octabvre mkIII when they come back in stock..
It's a crying shame Spencer didn't take the business expertise on board that is demonstrated in this thread and the previous linked thread where some folk offered him their stern 2 cents.
I don't think anyone here is telling Spencer how to do business, that's completely up to him. I mostly see well wishes.. Are we supposed to not discuss possible reasons why things went south for him?
