That's ridiculous, 3 years ago my GR2, went fast but still, only 160. Wonderloves would just sit in the classifieds. Hopefully the big sites will see he's back and come off those prices. Every 3leaf product I've had has had some level of genius that other gear simply doesn't, I hope Spencer realizes this and continues forward.

So word from a supplier that has been waiting for over half the year for Spencer to fulfill orders of at least the doom 2 and octabvre is that the pedals have now been discontinued. Despite Spencer putting out the statement in June on the 3leaf website stating he was building pedals again. Other than that, I haven’t received any reply from him for months regarding an update or if there is any truth to these newly made claims. Very disappointed.

He did state he was now only going to supply to bricks and mortar stores so if your dealer was internet-only; it might account for the cancelled order. I’d love to pick up a new Octabvre but cancelled my order after over six months of no word.

Tough to distinguish with how he worded that since he did say he would be fulfilling outstanding orders as well. But very poor to not offer any answer in any kind of a timely manner to customers or from a business to business standpoint where you’ve had a relationship.

It is indeed, but having suffered depression personally, I can understand how he might’ve got overwhelmed by everything and having an inbox full of angry emails would not have helped him. I do hope he gets some help, gets back on his feet and is able to do right by everyone.

It seems the 3leaf stuff sounds better and better the more you put in line, Chromatron with a MK3 and D2 in loop with an expression are amazing, anything you need it to do, it will do. I loved my GR2 but I'm glad I waited out for a Chromatron, suggest anyone that sees one snag it.

The GR2 is simply one of the best envelope filter without expression control out there. The Wonderlove fixed the exp out part but didn't sound as good to me as the GR2. The Chromatron looks like vast improvement on the Wonderlove and should be very close to the top of the heap for filters. I'll definitely try to snag one at some point when they become available again.

A GR2 reissue doesn't seem like the kinda thing Spencer would do. If you look at the history of 3Leaf, he's always moving forward with a design idea, refining or tweaking it. I feel like Spencer has just about reached the best of what's achievable for his filters, octave and fuzz in terms of what their purpose are. So I'd love to him tackle a new design at some point and see his same process of refining that new design. That same process that has created the Chromatron, Octabvre MkIII, Proton v4 and Doom2, pedals that are clearly leaders in their categories.

Plus if he releases more GR2 mine won't be worth 1000$ anymore lol...

Shame I was selling off my 3 leafs cause he was making new versions constantly. Every time I bought one version of a pedal he would come out with a new version soon after. Glad I still have his Octabvre 2. It may had been a problem for him to come out with multiple versions from the original. For a single maker it must had been very hard to handle.
