$33,600... for a bass...

Good-lookin bass. Sounds like a lot for a slab, but if it were a doghouse, that price isn't too scary. What's the big deal? It's about the price of a new SUV. Make payments. Just telling people how much you paid for it should get them to start thinking you are worth more as a player, and you may get a raise out of it!

Personally I don't think of price as value, I think of it as scheduling. I have my eye on a bass I like, and I think I've got it pencilled in for sometime in 2007. Simple as that.

You do realize that the last post in this thread (before you ressurected it) was nearing 2 years old...right? :p

33 grand for a bass? If you like it, and can afford to drop that kind of $$ for something you like, great.

It's the same reason why 30 year old cars go for $50,000.

It's the same reason why a painting will sell for $1,000,000 when the artist discarded it after it was finished.

It's the same reason we pay professional athletes $10,000,000 per year.

Why? Because someone will pay that kind of money for something they value (I might not value it, but my values are not your values.)

Now go play some inspiring music......
