Seller appears to have a high rating, that's what the figures mean no? (Not a a second hand buyer so not completely sure).
My take as I've said before, I blame the buyer. Nobody needs to overpay so much for an octave or a filter or whatever. Ain't gonna make you play better and probably won't make you sound much better than a good prset on a reasonably priced multi fx unit. First world problems

I wouldn't do that on TB. I tried to make a statement like that not all that long ago and it resulting in me almost losing my account even after getting permission. It's a slippery slope...at least within the confines of TB.
all that said...shipping IS a bear these days. I always ship insured because if it vanishes along the way, I don't want to be out the cash and shipping insured across the country is dang near $30.
Shipping isn’t really a problem for pedal sized packages. The USPS fixed price padded envelopes cost less than $9 to anywhere in the US. Put the pedal in a protective box, put the box in the envelope, and Bob’s sister is yer mama.
By the way, if somebody has a Doom 2 they would sell me for under $10k, I would love to buy it…

All right, I narrowed things down to the JoshWah and Proton v4. Did a bunch of testing back and forth, NOT in conjunction with other pedals, just by themselves. They both ROCK. Here's what I found:
- I actually mostly prefer the JoshWah without using its built-in drive
- The implementation of downward sweep in the Proton is not as good or expressive as the upward.
- Both filters can closely approximate the main sound I like
- The tone of each is similar, different mostly in how "clean" or "dirty" it feels
- Both are pretty easy to dial in (the JoshWah is of course a bit easier)
- I love the sound and expressiveness of playing right on the edge of the "quack", and in that regard they feel quite different. For the most part, I find the Proton responds better to my slight variations in attack, which makes it feel like it has a bit more "mojo" or attitude.
- The JoshWah is more raw and focused seeming, because it filters out the lows. That makes the wah maybe poke through more, but it sounds a bit less like a "bass". The Proton, even when very peaky, keeps the fundamental, so it has the bass feel.
I feel like I'm talking to myself to try and figure out my thoughts, but hopefully it can help somebody else.

I love the drive on the JW, but a little goes a long way. My first instinct was to turn it up a good amount, but my favorite sounds have the gain at 9:00 or maybe 10:00 max. So, if you find yourself not digging the drive sound, try playing around with lower settings. Ultimately, filters want harmonics, which bass guitar often lacks, so adding even just a little will do wonders for the sound.
The moogerfooger MF-101 has the best envelope of any filter I've tried, when I think of funk its that tone BUT there is no downsweep. Ive settled on the Chromatron for now, its a solid filter & I want to love it but its a bit anemic for my taste... i guess I'm just really picky
Do you have anything in its loop? Also, you wouldn't think it, but raising the boost gives the pedal, by itself, more character
If you like the chromatron but find it a bit too tame, give the wonderlove v2 a shot. I have both and currently I'm enjoying the wonderlove since it's a bit more juicy (although the range of the parameters on the chromatron seem a bit broader in comparison which I am missing a little)
Yeah, I have a doom 2 & mini in the loop which helps significantly & Ive played around with the boost... I dunno, I'll dial in a sound that works but within days I'm back to tweeking... just can't achieve the ideal sound whereas with the Barbanera (MF-101 clone) it was stupid easy to get that dream tone... I really regret selling that pedal. Gonna order a new one when in a month or so
I had a Wonderlove V2 before the Chromatron & agree it has a much juicier tone but didnt like that warble that would peek out here.
I wish the frequency range on the Chromatron was lower like on the GR2
Maybe you're picky, but envelope filter is so reactive to the player I think the feel and tone are even more important that with other effects. If a filter has THE SOUND I would take that over a trillion featured box that didn't have IT.
How does the Wonderlove compare to the GR2?
