I have the Barbanera and I love it. It’s the most immediately funky of my filters, especially with the 4-pole switch engaged. The paint job is even nicer in person (if that kind of thing floats your boat).

FTElettronica have been tempting me with their version of the PLL.

I just checked FTElettronica on Reverb and they make a three knob env filter for $98 + $42 shipping. That seem super reasonable. Has anyone tried this filter?

Anyone on here trying to do the Doom/Doom 2 thing…have y’all experimented with a Prunes and Custard? Not gonna lie, with a octave subbed out it in front it sounds more mono-synthy to me than the Doom/Doom 2. Add an envelope at the end, EVEN more into that territory with the P & C. Super underrated pedal IMO and very much in-stock and available to buy!

I'll check that out because I've been waiting for a doom2 to no avail

Fighting it is the point. It's literally like standing in front of a tsunami holding an umbrella. Make no mistake...when I decide to move my stuff, I'll likely do all the good stuff privately and share the good vibes that have come my way. The challenge is that these days when you sell something friendly via public mechanisms, you get taken advantage of. It pains me to hook someone up and then see that person flip it for a profit the next week. Griping about it just gets you kicked out of any community that allows selling so why be a white knight?

I do respect the lead by example public sales, but the flippers buy em, resell em, and laugh at you all within the same week.

Not to mention...if the day comes when I'll need to sell my stuff, it'll probably be because I need money for some awful life reason so I'm done standing on a soapbox and then ultimately becoming a hypocrite. Am I going to stock up on the next hot pog and relist it for double the minute I get it? No, that'll never be my style...but I'm done sitting in the corner on time out for whining about it and getting a dozen PMs from people who agree but want to stay out of it. And a word to the wise (as I see many people stepping up in my stead these days)...you are spitting in the wind. Your account will get zapped over it. No one wants to pay too much for stuff, but don't lay in front of a train about it...it's not the rock worth dying on because if you care about stuff like that, you care about being a part of a community and that will get you kicked out.

I've got a Elta one I'd let go of for a friendly price if you are into PLLs. I once collected them.

I compared them to one another a while back in this thread. They both do things that the other can’t but there is a lot of overlap. I think the P&C is underrated and anyone that is interested in the Dooms should try the P&C. It sounds great, can cover a fair bit of ground of what the Doom 2 can do, and can do some funky stuff the D2 can’t.

The P&C can also do a great overdrive sound. I like it so much that I’ve searched for what the drive circuit is based on but couldn’t find anything. Maybe @johnk_10 would know. The main thing you’re missing out on with the P&C is the style of blend control the D2 has, which I don’t think is a huge deal.

Also, It’s worth watching the Pedal and Effects episode on the P&C.

Well, I thought the chromatron's loop was amazingly flexible, but now it really is. I've ordered wire and ends to cut everything myself, but I have six groups of pedals I can place in front, in, or behind the chromatrons mixer and trigger, separately. With a click of a button.

If you can't tell already, this is my first switcher lol
