"As far as the oscillator volume goes, there is not a real simple way to control it's volume. It actually is not a separate oscillator, but the circuit feeding back into itself and oscillating. So, since it is not a separate oscillator it is harder to control. One way to handle it is to put some kind of boosting pedal in front of the Fatman. The stronger signal will be able to break through the oscillator easier. Another thing to consider is the oscillator pitch. The higher the pitch the less it overpowers your instrument sound. So if the oscillator is very low it will be more overpowering, try tuning it up."

...which is what We the Resourceful have figured out here. (at least the part about boosting the signal before the FatMan.)

So it's pretty much a bent circuit then? Hmmm. Well, try playing with the volume knobs on your bass. Technically, you should be able to add an output volume knob that would also easily take care of your problem. Try the bass volume first though.

Funny you should mention that, I just a couple days ago ordered a black pleather one with a blue LED. :D Rock and/or Roll!

Oh BTW, I didn't order it for me actually, but for somebody else... :ninja: But I'm sure I'll try it out a while before wrapping it up.

Lol awesome. Can't go wrong with black and blue.
You know you have to take some clips of this bad boy too ;)

This is definitely on my wish list, I've listened to all the clips I could find and I think its a great distortion, and then the oscillation part is just over the top!

I really love this pedal, it does like basses with a little more output (my recently acquired custom is passive and the output is a little low for working with this pedal correctly).. clean boosst... I need a clean boost.

I like all the new options, and I really wish I had a slimline box he is offering now.

Yes, damn you fools! I had just enough free time this month to listen to jetpack's sound clips, and then found 3Xfx selling one in his Ebay store -- itchy trigger finger, and the rest is history.

I requested "unfinished" and blue LED - but if that don't work for him I'm getting YELLOW. That's right, Yella.

As I mentioned I am waiting on delivery of that same pedal (black/blue) as a gift for someone else. But I fully intend to try it out for at least an hour before packing it up to ship. ;) If I like it, then I might end up buying it twice as well!
