3XFX Fatman

I got mine from grygrx yesterday.
First impression: Very good sounding distortion.
(switch to lead-mode)
Second impression: Oh, My God!!!!
I about soiled myself...the dogs ran out of the room...my wife yelled at me....I'm still waiting for the neighbors to show up. :p

After tweaking the volumes down I was able to play around at a reasonable level. I was using my Elrick and noticed that the feedback was definitely louder than the volume of the bass in Passive-mode.
I could get my signal above the feedback when I switched to active.
So I then tried putting a gain-stage in front of the Fatman. I unfortunately only had a russian big-muff to use. But using that I was easily able to get above the feedback.

Currently I'm looking into my signal boosting options.

I'm thinking about getting one of these in a trade... it looks like an awesome pedal!

I just have one question. In crazy/lead mode, does the volume knob still function? That is, can you turn down the the whole insanity overall? I'm not too concerned about the bass getting through over the oscillation, as this will probably be an 'end of set noise maker' type use. Just want to make sure I can turn it down so as not to blow my amp when playing with all my pedals on :D
