60s Bubblegum Pop Name (not Beatles Covers)

I think one of the TBers may have PMd a winner..

I sincerely appreciate the help.. Our leader was a cornerstone of a "legacy band" we'd love to give him the gift of creating and leaving his own behind.

When our Target market are 50+, Car collectors, Vetrans and Casino goers, the band name matters more than I can express.

Some will say it doesn't matter.. but then again every neighborhood had a kid named "Harold Mann" who got his @$$ kicked for having a stupid name.

don't tell me you played on telstar.....jeez just remembering that makes me feel old.......i'll bet ya a dixie draft that corvair got used, prolly in socal

Nope, I didn't play on Telstar, though my dad got hired onto the AT&T satellite project for a short while. The Tornadoes of my post where a band in Kansas that a friend of played guitar in. They seemed unconcerned about their name and unaware of Telestar--probably rarely gigged anywhere except in the "rec-rooms" of suburban split-levels. :D :D :D

Howdy

I play in a bubblegum pop band (Monkeys, Bobby Goldsboro, Dion, etc)

We've booked under temporary names while testing sets.

We play Casinos, VFWs, Outdoor etc.

My guitard likes the name "Fondelles".. I like "Paper Dolls"

Both are already used..

What would you name a band playing Little Red Riding Hood, California Dreamin, Latest Flame etc?

Poloroid Blue
Spin 45
Slinky Sunshine
Blow Pops
