Interesting I wonder what effect this has/had on electrolysis for ships?
I still think about Tesla's wireless electrical transmission. What, how?

I've no idea, I recall reading an article on it when I was an apprentice in one of the electronics engineering magazines that we used to get int he lab (I'm retired now so it could be long since abandoned).Interesting I wonder what effect this has/had on electrolysis for ships?
I use it on my cell phone.Interesting I wonder what effect this has/had on electrolysis for ships?

Well, CBS thought that the basic amp circuits Leo used direct from the RCA tube manuals were poorly conceived. They were wrong about the "instabilities" so I guess Leo lucked out there.
If it were up to Edison we would have a DC generating station every half mile or so instead of the AC grid we use now.
Just some perspective of those you hold in high regard.
Didn't Edison (...or was it Tesla?) electrocute an elephant to prove a point. Hey...I'm not a fan of animal abuse but that's the foundation of rock 'n roll right there!

From memory, 2 methods are used, one being rotary conversion and the other being solid state chopper conversion. Newer higher voltage power devices are making this process more and more efficient all the time.
OK, gotta ask: What is this "Riis" sig all about? I've seen a few memebers use it, and I can't seem to figure out the meaning.
Thanks.
Links between electrical grids (there are three in the US - eastern, western, and Texas) are DC, since the grids are not synchronized with each other.
My Traynor DynaBass 300T has a pair of 8" drivers and weighs about 30lbs. I like it a lot.For someone who wants to use 8" bass speakers the Traynor 808 is well-liked by people who use them. I have not bought one only because they weigh more than 100 lbs.
