8x15 Can't Wait

I'd go with a set of eight FEarful 15/6 units. Set them up with interlocking corners and snap latches on the back and side. Easy to assemble and break down for transport.

You could set them up in many configurations:

2x4 horizontal

4x2 vertical

6 over 2 "Compensator"

etc.

Or, you can go "all in", build two more and go with a 1 over 2 over 3 over 4 "Ziggurat of Doom" stack!:

IMO, it's really not that impractical. here's my 8x15 rig (two acoustic 408 4x15 cabs):

seriously, tho. what sort of force would that baffle be facing with something like this at high spl? i remember seeing mythbusters test the car window myth. they popped out the weather stripping on a mercedes sel (not a cheap or cheaply built car) with 120 db (yeah, it was at 16hz, but still). for real how huge would this thing have to be? my best guess-- minimum 60 cubic feet, vented. i'm in northern KY so i might have to try and see this thing with my own bass---i mean eyes. pm me when you're done!!!!!

4cu.ft. is enough to make most any decent 115 work well......won't do 16hz though, not that it matters, you can't hear that anyway.....feel it...yes.

8x4=32

This thing may be as completely impractical and ill-conceived as a giant airplane made of wood (and it will likely weigh just as much and be slightly more aerodynamic), yet the Spruce Goose took flight.

Insane? Yes.
Ridiculous? Yes.
Awe inspiring for sheer magnitude alone? Yes.

MEKer, you, sir, are a visionary. You are obligated to complete your vision, so that others can congregate in its shadow and discuss your genius/insanity.

Green Amps do (did?) 4x15 cabs as well, in traditional big fridge configuration. Al Cisneros used a pair (and a pair of 4x10's) when I saw Om. Each had it's on all tube power amp, driven by what looked like a Master Volume Unit. I'm sure it was hideously impractical and silly and all, but good Lord did it sound amazing...
