Brand new fresh SIT PowerSteels.Prototype Gibson Thunderbird Bicentennial Bass pickup sound samples.
Thank you @/\/\3phist0
Me, yes I played all clips. I was running a bit “hot” on the input gain. Was just hashing it out, no coffee no plan no warm up.little overdriven, you on all the clips?
The pickup was a gift. Sent in to have information on the pickup. Pickup had a dead coil probably due to G&L deciding that taping the coils wasn't neededLooks like there are a couple more of you that are part of the club and may want numbers? Who wants ‘em?
Also, @Matt Kustom, I am SUPER curious about that G&L MFD rewind and Neo upgrade you are doing on Insta. Care to share here?

Like I warned y’all /\/\3 unfiltered hack
I honestly did not listen back before posting! :-/
“Clips”
First take “punch ins” all the blemishes there to hear.
Action a bit too low, and too little relief after the string change!
The pickup was a gift. Sent in to have information on the pickup. Pickup had a dead coil probably due to G&L deciding that taping the coils wasn't needed. Problem is i can not find the hardware used for the pole pieces. I will keep looking. No idea where Leo sourced these parts. Anything readily available kinda similar is brass or stainless.
Not sure about the size of the factory G&L cover. Haven't had time to see if its the same as EMG40.
The pickup is nothing special outside of the adjustable grub screws. Just a Humbucker with two ceramic magnets under the poles. Each coil about 4.5k.
Might just use the hardware and make a totally new pickup. Maybe a MFD Music Man or EMG40
Glad you were allowed back into the walled garden.Neodymium MFD Style with 4 con Mogami wiring and fully shielded coils. These are going to @/\/\3phist0 View attachment 7326455

These are 16/17.5 for the bass they are going in. They are available in the string spacing needed. This set is in EMG40 shellsThese are really interesting.
What spacing and shell sizes are they available in?
Looking forward to some sound clips.
