I'm planning to buy one very similar to that and would love to see more photos.

I finally pulled the trigger on a black 55-01 fretless.

Then I took the neck off and swapped it with the maple board neck from my 55-02. The switch worked out great. The fretless neck (with a nice slab of ebony for the board, and some birdseye figure in the maple) makes a great match for the smooth tone of the MM/J + NTMB, and the maple board is a good match with the more agressive MK-1 package on the 55-01.

I had and sold a Skyline JO5. The darn thing weighed a ton, just shy of 13 lbs. Too heavey for me anyway.

I recall buying it new off the 'bay from a guitar store and the owner mentioned to me that it was hanging at his store for a couple of years. Now I know why.

I'm really surprised at that. Every Skyline I've played has been under 10 lbs. My JO4 is only 8 lbs.

Here's a poor picture of mine - lots more figure in the quilt than shows in the photo. Really nice playing bass and it is currently strung with TI flats. The only problem is that the preamp is noisey recently, even with a new battery. So, I'll have to get it looked at soon.
